“I’m really f***ed up about women. After I sleep with them, I completely lose interest. What about you? What’s your problem?” Carrie: “I pick the wrong men.”

The other day, I stumbled upon a rerun of SATC. I’m not entirely sure which episode I watched nor which season it was from.

Al I gathered was that Carrie was seeing a therapist and she proceeded to date a photographer whom she met in the therapists waiting room.

I fail to understand how a thirty-something woman failed to hear th LOUD alarm bells, but then again, this is television.

As you may have gathered, I’m not an avid follower of the Sex and the City cult. Nor am I opposed to it. I am an easily entertained individual.

As I was saying, this short episode led me to dig deep a little. Have some insight into my personality.

Like most girls before me, I decided to try and figure out which character most suited my personality.

Maybe this quote will help me explain why and how I decided which character protrays me best.

While in bed with Seth, Carrie asked why he was in therapy. His answer: “I’m really f***ed up about women. After I sleep with them, I completely lose interest. What about you? What’s your problem?” Carrie: “I pick the wrong men.”

Don’t be mistaken, I do not think Carrie protrays me best.

His name is Seth. He makes such a short appearance in the SATC that if you blinked, you might have missed him. He’s the creative type. A photographer. He’s charming, beautifully created, not afraid to go after what or better yet WHO he wants.

However, as soon as I do get IT. Whatever it is that I want, be it the attention,  security, affection or success. I completely loose interest in my pursuits and have to focus my energies on something completely different.

So maybe I’m the female version of Seth. And men who pick me like Carrie pick the wrong girl.
